絵師 伊藤若冲 構図の [諸魚図] 江戸時代中期(1800年頃)の図案。
栃木県足利で 明治時代から100年以上続く島浪捺染により染色。
静岡県浜松市で織られたvintageのアロハシャツの肉感に近づけて作られたNIPOALOHAオリジナルのレーヨンエットを使用。
身頃はボックスタイプのトラディショナルなデザイン。袖は、少し長めのデザインが現代的なミドルスリーブアロハシャツ。

Ito Jakuchu’s famous The Hundred Fish and Octopus painting.from the end of the EDO-period, 1760s.
***Itō Jakuchū was a Japanese painter of the mid-Edo period when Japan had closed its doors to the outside world. Many of his paintings concern traditionally Japanese subjects.
TECHNIQUE:
This is hand-dyed by the artisans of Shimanami dyeing factory. The workshop has been around for over 100 years, from the Meiji Period.
NIPOALOHA’s original rayon replicates the vintage Hawaiian shirt woven in Shizuoka Hamamatsu, famous for weaving workshops.
The traditional straight body silhouette Hawaiian shirt, modernized with medium length sleeves.
