【Item Description】
京都の京友禅 江戸時代から100年以上続く友禅工房 老舗 岡重により染められた麻雀文様。明治後期（1905年頃）の図案。
静岡県浜松市で織られたvintageのアロハシャツの肉感に近づけて、新たに作られたNIPOALOHAオリジナルのレーヨンフジエットを使用。
身頃はボックスタイプのトラディショナルなデザイン。袖は、少し長めのデザインが現代的なミドルスリーブアロハシャツ。
NIPOALOHA’s original rayon fujiette replicates the vintage Hawaiian shirt woven in Shizuoka Hamamatsu, famous for weaving workshops.
TECHNIQUE:
Dyed with a traditional technique called Kyo-Yuzen by the artisans of OKAJU, the Yu-zen workshop has been around for over 100 years.
***Kyo-Yuzen is a dyeing-technique that originated in the middle of the Edo period, towards the end of the 17th century. The dye is directly applied to the fabric. The designs often depict nature and animals of the different seasons with vivid and vibrant colors.
PRINT:
Majong print from the end of the Meiji period, around 1905.
