【Item Description】
[牛若丸] 浮世絵師 月岡芳年構図の「五條橋の月」1888年の図案。
艶やかな着物と、たなびく衣被が、牛若丸（義経）の軽やかな戦いぶりを思わせ、舞うように弁慶と戦っていたという昔話が、絵から見てとることのできる図案となります。
静岡県浜松市で織られたvintageのアロハシャツの肉感に近づけて作られたNIPOALOHAオリジナルのレーヨンエットを使用。
染色は、栃木県足利で 明治時代から100年以上続く島浪捺染により染色。
身頃はボックスタイプのトラディショナルなデザイン。袖は、少し長めのデザインが現代的なミドルスリーブアロハシャツ。

Ukiyoe artist Tsukioka Yoshitoshi's composition, "Moon over Gojyo Bridge," 1888.
The lustrous kimono and fluttering robe remind us of Ushiwakamaru's (Yoshitsune) lighthearted fighting style, and the old tale of him fighting Benkei as if he were dancing can be seen in the design.
NIPOALOHA’s original rayon replicates the vintage Hawaiian shirt woven in Shizuoka Hamamatsu, famous for weaving workshops.
TECHNIQUE:
This is hand-dyed by the artisans of Shimanami dyeing factory. The workshop has been around for over 100 years, from the Meiji Period.
The traditional straight body silhouette Hawaiian shirt, modernized with medium length sleeves.
