TECHNIQUE:
Dyed with a traditional technique called Kyo-Yuzen by the artisans of OKAJU, the Yu-zen workshop has been around for over 100 years.
***Kyo-Yuzen is a dyeing-technique that originated in the middle of the Edo period, towards the end of the 17th century. The dye is directly applied to the fabric. The designs often depict nature and animals of the different seasons with vivid and vibrant colors.

Ito Jakuchu’s famous peacock painting.
***Itō Jakuchū was a Japanese painter of the mid-Edo period when Japan had closed its doors to the outside world. Many of his paintings concern traditionally Japanese subjects, particularly chickens and other birds.
The tailored shirt jacket with a single button has slashed pockets, just like vintage. Without lining, the jacket is suitable for the summer as well.
